6.04a, 7.5, and 8.51 updates for Terrain Navigator Pro

Introduction As a service to customers who do not have an active subscription to Terrain Navigator Pro, we provide the following updates for download. While it is not possible to upgrade between 'major' versions without purchase, there were many minor revisions that took place during the course of each product life-cycle. We are making these revisions available, free of charge. What Version of Terrain Navigator Pro do I have? The version number of Terrain Navigator Pro is displayed on the title page that appears as the program starts. (This same information is displayed when opening the Help menu and choosing About.) If you have version 6.0, 6.01, 6.02, or 6.03 of Terrain Navigator Pro, you can download the free update to version 6.04a. If you have version 7.0, 7.01, 7.02, or 7.03 of Terrain Navigator Pro, you can download the free update to version 7.5. If you have version 8.0 or 8.5 of Terrain Navigator Pro, and have an active subscription for updates (software, photos, and maps) click here for the latest software updates. If your subscription is not current, you can download the free update to version 8.51. If you wish to purchase an upgrade to the current version of Terrain Navigator Pro, please give us a call at 877-587-9004. Aerial Photo Access Please note that an active subscription is required to access the aerial photos in Terrain Navigator Pro. Moreover, it is highly recommended that customers who use aerial photos with Terrain Navigator Pro do so with version 8.0 or later. (In fact, version 6.x is incapable of displaying the color aerial photos currently available.) If you have version 6.x or 7.x and are using (or would like to use) Terrain Navigator Pro with aerial photos, please give us a call at 877-587-9004 to discuss your update options. Also Available: 7.51 beta Those who update to version 7.5 may also wish to check out the further enhancements offered in the 7.51 beta release. Version 7.51 never made it past the 'beta' stage - instead its features and release were combined into version 8.0. Can I get the latest Terrain Navigator Pro software update without renewing my subscription? Starting with version 8.6 of Terrain Navigator Pro, all updates (software, photos, maps, and other enhancements) are included in the yearly subscription. For those with version 8.0 or later, the subscription can be renewed for $99 per year (per state, with discounts available for large multi-state areas.) For those with versions 5, 6 or 7, upgrades to the current release are $179. Please give us a call at 877-587-9004 if you would like to renew your subscription, or purchase an upgrade that includes all of these updates. Documentation Available Also available below are PDF manuals for these older versions of Terrain Navigator Pro. Additional Fix: Map Fixes for Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Virginia This download includes corrections to Terrain Navigator Pro maps not included prior to the 8.51 release. Specifically, the following maps have been corrected: KY - PARADISE, MI - PHOENIX, TX - BARTLETT, TX - COBBS CAVERN, TX - EAGLE SPRINGS, TX - GATESVILLE EAST, TX - HOLLAND, TX - MEADOW, TX - RUST RANCH, TX - SMITHS BEND, TX - TUNIS, TX - YOUNGSPORT, VA - CALLAGHAN. Technical Support for Discontinued Software MyTopo is pleased to provide these older versions of Terrain Navigator as a service to loyal customers who have not yet upgraded to the latest version available. However, please note that MyTopo can only provide the documentation presented here for assistance with these older versions. In most cases, any technical issues (such as compatibility with Windows 7) have been corrected with the current version of the software. Therefore, technical support (via phone, email, etc.) is limited to customers who maintain subscriptions that include software updates. How To Install Click the link below for your version of Terrain Navigator Pro. In most instances, your web browser will ask if the file should be Opened, or Saved to your computer. Choose Save, then select a location to Save the downloaded file In. If you are unfamiliar with downloading and applying software patches, we recommend choosing your "Desktop"; select Save In, Desktop and press Save. Once the download completes, double-click the downloaded application that appears on your Desktop. This will apply the download to your Terrain Navigator installation. Once that process is completed, you may run Terrain Navigator and (once working) delete the download from your Desktop. Please note: Do NOT download this update directly into the same folder as your existing Terrain Navigator application. Doing so may corrupt your installation, requiring a complete re-install to correct.
