Terrain Navigator Pro, version 8.0 (or later) Terrain Navigator Pro connects to the MyTopo servers to download and view color aerial photography in conjunction with the topographic maps included with the product. With only a few exceptions in rural portions of Nevada and New Mexico, Terrain Navigator Pro will have 1:12,000 aerial photo maps available for use - and in color in virtually all areas. In selected urban areas, 1:3,600, 1:7,200, and/or 1:9,000 scale photos are also available. These ultra-detailed photos work seamlessly with the high-quality tools and maps that Terrain Navigator Pro customers have come to rely upon. In most areas, these photos are in color; in five metropolitan areas (Des Moines, IA; New Orleans, LA; Phoenix, AZ; Savannah, GA; and Topeka, KS) the photos are black & white. MyTopo works with the USGS and USDA to provide high-quality aerial photos into Terrain Navigator Pro. We also will occasionally partner with other government agencies to obtain the best available aerial photos. What areas have updated Aerial Photos been made available for Terrain Navigator Pro and when will future updates be posted? MyTopo releases updated aerial photos for use with Terrain Navigator Pro when new photos become available. These photos come to us from the USGS or from the USDA, then verified and converted for use in Terrain Navigator Pro. These photos are sometimes referred to as being from the 'NAIP' data set.
